Our text in Luke today occurs on the 1st day of the Passover Festival as Jesus and the crowds reach the crest of the Mount of Olives with Jerusalem awaiting below to the west. The excitement in the crowd was palpable as they saw Jesus preparing to enter Jerusalem, the king of the line of David that was foretold. But what kind of king were they expecting, and what kind of king is Jesus?
